Shenzhen Huanggang Customs Seized Hazardous Chemicals Water Repellent and Water Displacing Agent

On Oct 17, 2022, Huangang customs under Shenzhen customs seized a shipment with hazardous chemicals which were not declared for inspection at freight import channel. The subject hazardous chemicals were 2436.8 liters of water repellent and water displacing agent used for brightening and cleaning automotive glass. The shipment was declared for import under general trade mode by a company in Donguan. The customs officer of Huanggang customs found that the subject goods were mixture liquid with marks for hazardous goods on the package. In accordance with MSDS, the flash point in closed cup test of the goods is less than 60℃, which mean that they are the number 2828 hazardous chemicals as listed in Catalogue for Hazardous Chemicals (2015 version)
