Imported Clothing and Black Pepper Sauces Were Returned Because of Exceeding Limits

Recently, Weihai CUSTOMS recently detected excessive aromatic amine which is carcinogenic in an shipment with imported clothing. The involving imported clothing quantity was 83 pieces. The carcinogenic aromatic amine(4,4' -diaminodiphenyl methane) content of the machine weaved dresses was 123.9 mg/kg, as tested by the laboratory,  which was 5 times more than the carcinogenic aromatic amine limit as specified by National Basis Safety Technical Specifications for Textile products.


Dongguan Customs subordinated to Huangpu Customs recently seized a shipment with black pepper sauce whose lead content exceeded the national standard. There were Totally 215 cartons, 1290 barrels and 2967kg(net weight) of black pepper sauce. The customs officer who was in charge of the inspection drew samples of the black pepper sauce for testing in accordance with the relevant regulations. The laborotaty test results showed that the lead content was 3.04mg/kg, which was over two times more than the lead content limit as specified in Food Contaminant Limits of National Standards for Food Safety (GB 2762—2017)

The two shipments were both retured.
