Guangzhou Post Customs Seized 80 Cases of Injections for Ovulation Induction

Guangzhou Customs Recently seized 80 cases of injected medicine for ovulation induction that illegally imported by post. At present, this case has been further disposed.

The customs officers from Post Customs subordinated to Guangzhou customs, when supervising a batch of entry postal parcels , found that one parcel delivered to XXX city of Guangdong province presented abnormal images when passing the X-ray machine. It seemed that injections were contained inside. They opened and inspected the parcel and found 80 cases of Cetrotide injections which were not been declared to customs. Each case has one piece of needle, injection and syringe each.

Cetrotide is a type of injection drug for ovulation induction. It is mainly used in assisted reproduction and test-tube baby, and also used in the treatment for infertility. In nature, it is a type of special articles whose exit and entry shall be executed with sanitary quarantine supervision management and are not allowed to import without sanitary quarantine approval.
